Not ours, that’s not yet (soon soon, work in progress!), but the Blender one.

For those who do not know, Blender is a free software released under GNU GPL licence, which allows 3D making, for film or video game. It is an extremely powerful software. Forget all your preconceptions about open source. The quality of this tool is broadly equivalent, sometimes superior, to that of proprietary tools on the market (which incidentally cost an arm, in fact you have a choice when you are a small company, between pay your team or pay licenses, we already choose).

And now, several superior minds decided to sell Blender.

Regarding the law, the license allows them to do it (with some restrictions). If tomorrow morning you pick up a banana peel in the street and find someone to buy it at 100 euros, it’s legal. Out of weakness abuse.

Anyway, this is already strong. But as we say in France : they push the cap even further Maurice, displaying their copyright everywhere, and making their advertising with images randomly collected on the net, most of them not made with Blender, and without mentioning their origin.

What to do? Embark on the happy-folk-fun-yeah adventure based on lawyers blah blah blah … A fortune, years, and the guy spins in China in 5 minutes and starts merrily. The strategy also work well to advertise these filthy companies.

The alternative: to publicize this scam, make it high in google ranking. And when the name of these companies will be statistically associated with pages describing the scam, it will be won.
